Personal Business Information

I have actually started 3 independent businesses thus far in my life, but the business pertaining to this website is my most recent, and the only one that I still operate. I began sharpening knives as a young teenager, but didn't do it for money. I started off small, working to sharpen the knives at the restaurant I was working at on a monthly basis. I now sharpen the line of restaurants that is associated with my first job as well as several other businesses in the DFW area.

I currently operate primarily serving businesses, but I have wanted to expand into the regular consumer market for quite some time. With businesses I generally go for high volume at a lower price point. I am hoping to target the more niche individual consumer sales because I prefer to sharpen by hand, which the reduced work-flow would allow for.

This is one of the ways that I differ from the competition in my area, because they are focused on the high volume side of things. I have already secured enough of a market share in this segment to allow me to focus on specializing and moving into my preferred market segment while not risking failure.

The goals of this website is to create a landing place for people to whom I give out my card. For years I have operated on word of mouth alone, but now I am hoping to actually target and acquire more of my preferred market. This website allows for me to increase customer outreach as well as providing a foundation to build upon as a further develop my business.
